Please allow Tesla and any other car manufacturer to sell cars directly to consumers. It will overall benefit the consumer with lower prices. Any mention of multiple dealers selling the same brand will foster competition and lower prices is wrong. We all know that dealerships purchase the cars at wholesale prices then mark up the price and sell them to consumers. On top of that they get kickbacks from the manufacturer. I'd rather pay the manufacturer the unmarked up price with the kickbacks reducing the price a little more and not deal with the unpleasant experience of negotiating the price and dealing with the dealers tricks to get more money out of me. Getting back to competition cars from all manufacturers can easily be purchased from almost anywhere in the US (except Tesla in certain states). This will provide competition to make sure direct sales manufactured like Tesla will keep their prices competitive.
