FTC to Host Public Workshop Examining the U.S. Auto Distribution System Workshop Will Explore Competition, State Regulations, and Emerging Trends in the Industry, Project No. P131202
I find it preposterous that laws exist in the U.S. which prevent a U.S. company from making a legal product and selling it directly to customers. In any other industry you would be laughed out of the room for even suggesting it. Dealerships and other middle men should either figure out a way to compete or go the way of the Dodo. Continuing to prop up poor business models with egregious legislation will only solidify a slide into mediocrity and irrelevance in the global economy.
