I firmly support Tesla's approach to sell direct. I've read arguments made by dealerships and they really don't hold much water. I've also read Tesla's arguments and I can attest from personal experience that they are accurate. Particularly with respect to the bias against Hybrid's and BEV's. I own a Tesla Model S and received delivery in May of 2013. The car now has over 48,000 miles and I can say that it is very reliable and is an outstanding automobile. Tesla Service has been outstanding! Particularly early on when they went beyond any expectation after someone slashed my tires. Tesla Service drove 45 minutes to my home delivering and replacing a tire in my garage on Thanksgiving Day. On a separate instance again when a tire was damaged due to vandalism Tesla delivered a replacement tire to the local Dobbs (again driving 45 minutes one way), since the Dobbs could not obtain the tire. In my mind its clearly time these laws are changed ..., at least in regard to Tesla and all similar cases.
