I believe direct sales is the best approach for 2 reasons. 1. Brings the costs down for the consumer. Lower costs means earlier adoption of the technology which in the long run benefits humanity through lower emissions. 2. Buying directly from manufacturer ensures more of the funds go to the manufacturer and can be used to increase production as well as research and development which in turn helps the consumer even more. Dealership jobs will obviously take a hit in the long run. But as with any new technology there will always be a disruption in the market and a rebalancing following after. This however is necessary change. Think of the benefits of cellphones and their impact on cordes house phones. Would you want to go back to stationary phones? I think not. Therefore change is healthy for our future as a whole. Have to let go of old ideas to let better things come our way. Thanks for reading.
