I wholeheartedly support direct to consumer sales such as the Tesla sales model. I believe the current requirement (at least in Texas) that manufacturers must use 'dealers' is protectionism by a specific entity within the automotive industry. Manufacturers can 'choose' to sell exclusively through a dealer or retail network such as 'Tempur-pedic' or both directly & through a network. Our much lauded and long held free-market belief as a nation should also allow 'direct' to consumer sales by manufacturers. Let the market decide if it is a via option or solution for a company to pedal their wares. Thanks, Brett
