FTC to Host Public Workshop Examining the U.S. Auto Distribution System Workshop Will Explore Competition, State Regulations, and Emerging Trends in the Industry, Project No. P131202
Does anyone see the parallels between Henry Ford's long but successful fight (1903-1911) with the ALAM (18905 Selden Patent) and the fight between the present-day automobile dealership group and Tesla over being able to sell their cars as they choose? The similarities are so striking. I hope the FTC can not be swayed from protecting freedom of trade and me as an informed consumer. But like the government in 1903, money and influence speak very loudly.
