FTC to Host September Workshop in Washington, DC, to Examine Advertising for Over-the-Counter Homeopathic Products
Dear Federal Trade Commission, I am writing to express my sincere interest in Homeopathy and my hope for the future of OTC Homeopathic products. Homeopathy has benefitted me immeasurably for over ten years. I first started using Homeopathic medicines based on what I learned from the labeling in health food stores and pharmacies, which provided me with a great understanding of the effectiveness and use of Homeopathy. I started simply with cold products and flu products, following the clearly-stated information on the packages of products, which provided safe and and reliable guidelines. The effectiveness of the products spoke for itself. I was given prompt and effective relief from colds and flus, many times without them even developing beyond their primary stages. I then began to use single Homeopathic medicines, following the labeling of the products, and was greatly eased from distress of regular injuries, acute problems, and even had the most successful wisdom tooth extraction. My dentist was shocked by my speedy recovery! I then began to buy books on Homeopathy available online and in many local bookstores, which provided clear and easy information and instruction on the use of acute treatments as well as first aid. My knowledge and confidence grew as to the use, safety, and effectiveness of over-the-counter Homeopathic products. I was so impressed with not only the efficacy and reliability, but also the safety of these wonderful healing medicines, that in 2006 I began my formal training, a study that I have maintained consistently to this present day, and plan to continue as long as I possibly can. I personally plan to be a life-long learner of this wonderful, safe, affordable and extremely effective system of medicine. I do hope that my country will continue to recognize Homeopathy and provide for its citizens continued access to these medicines, and especially that the OTC availability of these extremely reliable and incredibly safe and cost-effective medicines will continue with the approval of the Federal Trade Commission.
