FTC to Host September Workshop in Washington, DC, to Examine Advertising for Over-the-Counter Homeopathic Products
I have been using homeopathic remedies for 37 years. My remedy choice is dependent on the specific person and symptoms that guide me to the appropriate choice.I learned about homeopathy from a friend and began taking classes and reading in order to inform myself in the best way possible.I am in contact with my health care provider who will often guide me as to what is the best remedy for the situation and having remedies available otc has been a boon for rapid availability and recovery for not only the humans in my family, but my cats as well. The only way I was able to get remedies initially was from my health care provider and was delighted to be able to purchase them in a more convenient manner. My health choices are well informed and I do not rely on advertising for any product, whether it be medicine or other products.Stepping out of the allopathic paradigm and learning how homeopathy works, using an open mind, is essential. I keep several books on hand and have read many over the years, The Science of Homeopathy by George Vithoulkas, Homeopathic Medicine at Home by Maesimund B. Panos, MD and Jane Heimlich(has been indispensable as my children were growing up).
