FTC to Host September Workshop in Washington, DC, to Examine Advertising for Over-the-Counter Homeopathic Products
I first learned about homeopathy from Dr. Ravinder Mamtami who taught a course in homeopahty at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. He had an expert there from Scotland who explained the theory and and gave us case histories in his practice of it's use. I was very impressed with that and read several books on the subject including Introduction to Homeopathic MEdicine by Hamish Boyd, M.D. and the Family Guide to Homeopathy by Dr. Andrew Lockie. I realized that the practice of Homeopathy requires a great deal of education and is very time consuming but combination remedies that people can buy over the counter can work very well and should continue to be available.
