FTC to Host September Workshop in Washington, DC, to Examine Advertising for Over-the-Counter Homeopathic Products
Dear FTC, Regarding your evaluation of the advertising of OTC homeopathic products: I have never relied on advertising to purchase a homeopathic product. Most of the products I have bought were recommended to me by friends who also study homeopathy or by bloggers, none of whom have any interest in which homeopathic products are bought. Homeopathy and other alternative health care products are very important to my family and myself. I have been able to help my family find relief from minor illnesses and injuries in effective and economical ways. I'm not all that interested in how it works. I just know it works. Like allopathic medicine, it can be more of an art than a science. But in my experience, homeopathy is more frequently effective than allopathic prescriptions, with zero risk of side effects. Thank you for your time. Donna Anton Houston
