I am a frequent user of homeopathic remedies, especially in actute situations, i.e. colds, coughs, earaches, sprains, strains and bruises, headaches, sinusitis and shocking episodes. I have several homeopath books covering use in the above situations and others. A favorite remedy for me personally is allium cepa which is made from the red onion. When I get a cold it always starts the same way, a dripping nose like a faucet. I keep the remedy handy in my medicine cabinet and take a dose right away. My standard protocol for acute situations is to take three doses the first day, two the second day and continue on with a single dose daily for as long as the symptoms persist (which is usually a short amount of time). If I follow my own prescription, my cold will dissipate within a few days and not turn into a cough or dreaded sinus infection like all my colds used to before I learned of the benefits of homeopathy. Remedies are made from natural substances with no additives and my body tolerates them willingly. I feel they lead me on a healing path and I'm able to move to wellness without antibiotics in most occasions.
