FTC to Host September Workshop in Washington, DC, to Examine Advertising for Over-the-Counter Homeopathic Products
Hello, I would like to say that I was able to accurately and confidently purchase homeopathic products over the counter. The homeopathic displays in the stores I shop at, Whole Foods, Cambridge Naturals, and other health food stores have well marked homeopathic sections. I understand that I am purchasing something homeopathic vs. an herbal or pharmaceutical product. Some mainstream stores such as CVS sell some homeopathic products intermixed with other OTC medications. The packaging of each product is such that I have no issue differentiating. Marketing and advertising being what it is, homeopathic companies want consumers to know and recognize its homeopathic product just as Johnson & Johnson's wants consumers to recognize Tylenol. Thank you for your time and attention.
