Cross-device technology is an unwelcome invasion on consumer privacy. Further, I do not support deceptive tactics widely used today where software applications request wholesale authorization to control consumer media using the simple click of an "Accept" button while providing vague terminology and icons describing what the terms of the agreement are. The process of "Opting" has been studied in academia by behavior economics researchers such as Dan Ariely and associates. Default options of any kind impose cultural assumptions on participants. I am part of the culture that wants nothing to do with CDT whereby my option is NONE OF THE ABOVE -- KEEP OUT.
