I feel very strongly about this issue and have been a practicing optometrist for 21 years now and have seen thousands of patients with contact lens related pathology . In the interest of always putting the patient and their eyes and vision as top priority it is imperative to always have rx never expire past 12 months , the exact contact lens and brand and specifications be what the rx is filled as, no substitutions or " so called equivalent product" and absolutely require prescribing doctor rx be given, faxed, and absolutely be on file at the rx fulfilling business. This 8 business hour verification is very dangerous for the patient- consumer. We all need to protect untrained unknowing patients and also prosecute those filling rxes that are not valid or expired! Big huge contact lens sellers cannot control this for their sales and inconvenience of proper valid legal prescriptions. Please do the right thing here. Thank you
