The Fairness to Contact Lens Consumers Act needs to be ammened to make it manditory that all doctors write a 'defined and specific MAXIMUM QUANTITY of contact lenses' for which the prescription can be filled, similar to the maximum quantity of pills for which an oral drug prescription must be written. This is for patients eye-health protection. Also, contact lens resellers must be stopped from aggresive and unethical marketing campaigns to call patients one week before their CL Rx expires, and trying to sell them a second years supply of contact lenses, when they know the patient is due for their annual eye health exam. This deceptive practice confuses patients into thinking that they do not need annual eyecare. Also, contact lens resellers should be made to stop selling more than a one year's supply if a doctor writes "one year's supply maximum prescribed" on the written prescription. Thank you.
