It has not been as effective over the 10 years. If there is no response by the prescribing doctor within 24 hrs then the online company still releases the contacts to the patient. I will not receive medication (new or renewed) from a pharmacist unless there is an approval from my doctor via written prescription, e-prescription, or faxed confirmation from my doctor no matter the time period. Contact lenses are medical devices and can cause harm to the cornea if a patient is not monitored appropriately. There should not be an option for release of contacts if there has been no written evidence of a prescription or approval from the prescribing optometrists during any period.
