Requiring a pupillary distance on a prescription is surprisingly useless. Newer technology has made this measurement type obsolete due to new methods that are now far more accurate. But the pupillary measurement and other measurements no require the specific frame to be chosen so that the measurements are made with that frame. A PD will not help with this. It should be required for the manufacturer of the lenses to provide the patient with the measurements.
