16 CFR Part 315; Agency Information Collection Activities: Review; Comment Request; Contact Lens Rule: FTC Project No. R511995
When addressing new legislation please help with the following defects in the current law. The new law must forbid selling more contacts to patients after the prescription has expired. It must stop the sellers from selling more contacts than is prescribed from the doctor. Obviously the new law must not allow any substitution of a different contact lens than what is prescribed. The new law should require the seller of contact lenses to keep a copy of the original contact prescription from the prescribing doctor which should include the type of contacts, the expiration date and the total number of contacts allowed with the RX. Lastly the law should address the Robo calls on evenings and weekends by vendors trying to get around the 8 hour rule for the doctor's to respond. thank you for your efforts to address these problems which will help keep our patients protected.
