"Eyeglass Rule, 16 CFR Part 456, Project No. R511996" As you know, Luxottica has an extremely offensive monopoly on the eyeglass industry. Buying a pair of glasses from them is generally more expensive than buying a iPad or a smartphone - and we both know there is a huge difference in the technology contained within. For some reason, the Federal Trade Commission turns a blind eye to this monopoly and allows then to charge exhorbitant prices for 2 tiny pieces of glass and a plastic frame.....this is unconscionable - and to promote their empire their outlets refuse to give the PD measurement to force its potential customers to buy from them. Please change the law so that this measurement is included in ALL eyeglass prescriptions. I am an American that lives in Germany but I am in the States frequently for my eye and health care. Thank you
