I'd like to comment on Eyeglass Rule, 16 CFR Part 456, Project No. R511996. I have an eye disease called Keratoconus which simply is the serration of the cornea. I have had one corneal transplant and without glasses I am almost totally blind in one eye. It is very frustrating and also costly to continue to get new prescriptions every 2 years inorder to get glasses on line. I need to have several pairs in my possession any place I go. I also wear contacts when my eyes do not bother me. It is interesting to note that I can be anywhere and call my contact person and order new contacts--if I lose one-- without a new prescription over many years. Life for me would be much simpler if an eye glass prescription could last at least 5 years or longer without having to go back and get a new one. thank you
