I'd like to comment on Eyeglass Rule, 16 CFR Part 456, Project No. R511996. I've worn glasses for 21 years, since puberty struck and I developed an astigmatism. In that time, my prescription has only changed a few times...I'd say there is only a discernible change roughly every 4-5 years. It doesn't make sense to have my prescription re-evaluated annually when it usually ends up being the exact same. I'm confident that I can self-determine when I should go get my eyes checked, just like I do for every other aspect of my health. In fact, I'm confident that I can also make this determination for my children and as a free man who takes responsibility for himself and his family, I find this to be a needless limitation on my liberty. Please consider changing the current rules to allow me to take responsibility for myself.
