Greeting FTC Commission, As a scientist who does research on applied neuroscience, and specifically approaches that utilize principles of perceptual learning to improve human abilities, I find it terribly regretful that you have handed down such a harsh judgment on Carrot Neurotechnology. For years I have done research in this realm and have worked with, and done research on, many such applied approaches. In my opinion the science behind Ultimeyes is genuine and remarkably strong, Dr. Seitz and his colleagues have carried out well-designed studies that have adhered to the true sprit of scientific rigor. They have used this science in support of their product and ask for very little in return. While I applaud the FTC's mission to protect consumers from fraudulent claims, I find this strongly putative response to fly starkly against the spirt of evidence-based support. Carrot Neurotechnologies has clearly made a genuine effort to base their product on sound science and are truthfully representing the benefits of their approach. Such a strong and abrupt punishment will discourage other scientists from advancing their findings for the public good and that is a shame. -- Greg Appelbaum
