It is imperative that the FTC shore up 'the sharing economy' and the definitions of independent contractors. At first I thought the UberLawsuit in California would possibly straighten things out, BUT it has been brought to my attention that in the event Uber loses that lawsuit, they will just tweak a few things and stay their course, so that it becomes more difficult for the next 'contractor v employee' lawsuit. Think like Uber, so for example, there was a lawsuit where Uber was sued for saying 'tips are included'. Uber lost. Now Uber ads say 'no need to tip. Uber Speak and Uber Spin, please FTC make it Uber Clear!
