If I go to website "A" to shop and they use Akami or another site to "build storefront" I'm ok with that, I am not ok with ANY kind of tracking and think third party sites should be outlawed! Todays post on my Facebook page and also used as reply to NYTImes correspondent for comment on Article http://nyti.ms/1BiCjmW Below: Computer Hardware doubles in speed every 18 to 24 months, Moores Law, and yet browsing gets slower. When I consent to go to site A, lurking there are a multitude of tracking sites running scripts, leaving unwanted cookies, that I have NOT consented to! IF they want us to shop, how about better/safer products that last and better customer service and product descriptions that actually describe what the the product is? Rather than label things with the brand of sales agent how about labeling it with brand of manufacturer so can actually compare products? They should be spending money on Engineering and technical writers NOT on a multitude of tacking websites! There is so much "tracking" that web browsing is lower now even though my hardware is orders of magnitude faster. Want to see what lurks in everyday sites try FireFox with NoScript installed. P.S. I sometimes miss actually being able to comment under the article.
