The fact that Airbnb allows for short-term rentals in my apartment building means that every week or so, a new stranger gets the keys to my building. This makes me so uncomfortable and many of Airbnb's policies are obviously not well thought out. Airbnb's policies do not prevent unpleasant experiences, but only cover them up. If a stranger were to trash the hallway, there is nothing Airbnb could do to prevent it. The fact that Airbnb is not keeping track of its guests and it not holding itself responsible for their actions is unforgivable.
