The "Sharing" Economy: Issues Facing Platforms, Participants, and Regulators A Federal Trade Commission Workshop
I have had such good experiences using Airbnb. I've gotten to meet great people. I've made money. I've paid my taxes on what I earned and I got to help out people who otherwise wouldn't be able to afford to travel and have a nice experience. Why should a fun and luxurious travel experience only be for wealthy people who can afford to pay hundreds of dollars a night for a pretty decent hotel? Airbnd helps people travel well and safely. It offers a wonderful service to millions of people who otherwise wouldn't be able to afford it. I'm in that group and I love Airbnd. Keep it around. Let it grow. Let it serve people who need it. And let people have wonderful, unique experiences that would never get from an anonymous, expensive hotel that only a few in our society can now afford. Airbnb is the epitome of democracy and we should be proud it started here in America.
