I wanted to take a quick moment to present my thoughts regarding home sharing and the legislation being brought about. Our experience with home sharing has allowed my husband and I a lifestyle we've dreamed of but didn't know how to have. We're both self-employed which mostly means our income is not set and it's difficult to plan for the future, or travel. Sharing our home has allowed us to put our business income toward our future and given us the opportunity to travel now (using the money we make from sharing + sharing others' home when we travel). I personally believe in having legislation where we contribute our fair share to the cities and states, because I want to continue this lifestyle and support the companies who made it possible. My concern is primarily legislation that would effectively shut these companies down OR make it too difficult for people like us to be part of. We are not in the business of home sharing, but it has made a hugely positive impact on our personal lives and marriage. Thank you.
