The "Sharing" Economy: Issues Facing Platforms, Participants, and Regulators A Federal Trade Commission Workshop
Uber Scam extracts equity from cars of societies more vulnerable. It's like pawning your car, only you don't know you are pawning your car's value. In exchange for fast cash and flexibility, you drive your car into the ground needing to pay for your own gas, car washes, oil changes, tires, normal wear and tear and abnormal wear and tear like extra dings etc. And of course risk driving without proper licenses and insurance. Also Uber 1099s drivers like drivers have received their Safety Fee which they have not. So drivers are actually getting 1099s for monies they never receive.
