To Whom It May Concern, Airbnb has allowed our family to weather financially difficult times. I recently started college and around the same time the family business began to struggle. Without the added income of renting our home we would not have been able to pay all the bills. Airbnb allows middle class families to meet the financial pressures of an increasingly expensive world. Rather than being forced to sell their homes or face foreclosures, families are able to rent their homes and make full use of the resources they do have. In my case, I was not forced to take out additional loans in order to pay for the remainder of my first year. I cannot stress enough how much Airbnb helps provide middle class families with a means to supplement an income that is not always capable of covering every expense. Families like mine no longer need to feel that economic turbulence could result in losing everything they have. A bad year of business will not completely derail the economic security of families with small businesses. I will be able to continue attending college and my family will not lose their home. Sincerely, Sofia A. Jeremias
