Without Uber, I wouldn't be able to move around the way I do. 2 years ago I stopped using taxis in Miami because they are unreliable, uncomfortable and unsafe. I've waited over 30 minutes multiple times for a taxi and most of them take the longest routes, take their time, don't use A/C and drive as bad as some of Miami's worst drivers. Uber has provided a safe haven for someone like me that is constantly on the move, and it also provides peace of mind knowing exactly how long I will be picked up and how long it will take me to get to my destination. Taxis do not provide that, which is why I can not and will not use them. To remove Uber in Florida would be setting us back in a major way, and show us to be not as forward thinking as other states.
