This is our second year in providing a lovely home environment apartment to travelers through AIRBNB. We have a lovely home in a beautiful spot of Maine, and my husband and I decided to share it with others. Not everyone chooses to stay in a home, but those who do find it very enriching, affordable and fun. We offer a small, but full apartment in our home. We do not compete with local hotels. As we only operate in Maine during the summer and fall months, most of the hotels are full with a waiting list. Our accommodations are extremely affordable. This past weekend was a college graduation in our town. The family who booked our apartment were finding that local hotels, IF available, were charging over $300 per night. Our space is listed for $150. They were so excited, and had a wonderful experience. We provide a full breakfast, and I always email them to ask preferences for food items. This family were vegan, so their choices were lots of fruits and vegetables, etc. I highly recommend the AIRBNB experience for those folks who enjoy people and sharing their home.
