Airbnb is much more than about money. It is a chance to showcase our community. It is being an ambassador to guests from other states as well as other countries. It is sharing our blessings of rooms, water and trees with others for their enjoyment and peacefulness. The nearest hotel is nine miles away; not very convenient for people to visit our area. Our local restaurants and shops have benefited by our guests frequenting these small "out-of-the-way" but very enjoyable establishments. Most have said they want to visit again. My husband and I have met the nicest people by being hosts. It is surprising how total strangers can be so interesting and engaging. Our guests are people we would have never crossed paths with if not for Airbnb. Now we consider them as friends. We have been blessed to live in a beautifully natural and peaceful environment which many people have never experienced. Our home is too beautiful to keep to ourselves and Airbnb is the perfect outlet by which to share our blessings. We feel safe with the screening process that Airbnb provides and we hope to continue being hosts for several years to come. Airbnb is a lifeline to friendship. Thank you for reading this.
