I fully support the AirBnB company and have enjoyed welcoming people from around the world in to my home! I believe this is a great advantage to guests and hosts alike- guests can coordinate with the host to find local hotspots and promote tourism that people can afford in comparison to staying in an expensive hotel that most people only use to sleep in! This idea allows for a more affordable room so the guests can explore the city and add to the local economy instead of spending their budget on a hotel room. As a host I have had a great experience and it is an extra source of income that is welcome during these difficult economic times. I plan to utilize AirBnB when we travel soon and I am looking forward to connecting with the hosts to find local gems only someone who lives in the area would know about! The online system also allows for no money to negotiate or discuss once the guest arrives- all fees are paid online then the host is notified that they received a booking. This added relief of not having to negotiate monies is non-confrontational and an added bonus of using the website! I would recommend AirBnB to anyone and everyone planning to travel in the US and around the world- local people are very welcoming and generally know special spots to visit that a normal hotel tourist might not get to explore.
