A little over 3 years ago I couldn't find a full or part time job. I was injured 4 years prior. Both rotator cuffs, doctors told me it would not be possible for me to do glass replacement any longer. I started a photography business and I'm still trying to find or get more clients I was told it takes about 2-4 years to have a decent work flow to where I can be comfterble. For the mean time I was able to get a job assembling bicycles, they never told me it was a seasonal Job. Driving was basically one of the only work I can possibly do. I found Uber it's the only job that I have ever found where I can work when I can and make my own schedule. since I make the least amount of money in the family. I need to be able to drop the kids off at school and if I need to take then to appointments I can do that. I was way behind on bills especially a car I just got since the last one was a safety hazard windows didn't work and door handles were brittle and most broke off. I was also behind on the most important one child support. Driving as a partner for Uber let me work as much as I needed to pay all of the bills still able to make my own schedule. Some days are slow some are busy. But it sometimes evens out. I don't make to much money but it's enough to keep from asking for help or falling behind. This was the best way to keep from going to the government for assistance. Not that is bad to get assistance but if it can be prevented even better. Once I get my photography business up in full swing. I can still have the driving as backup. I've had passengers say what a great service we provide cars are cleaner, drivers are very friendly and respectful. Most of all the passenger knows how long and where the driver is second to second. They don't have to worry if we are going to show up or not. The Uber app show then where and how long it's going to take the driver the get to the pick up point. I also know a few drivers that can't work normal walking or standing jobs. He has no problem driving. The Uber pertner is a great thing for the city and drivers who either needs it for full-time or part time to help get by with a few extra $$. Passengers love it also because it another option of transportation. Plus when it comes to drinking and driving. More and more drinkers are choosing use to drive them then getting a D.U.I. I have noticed less accidents and D.U.I. tickets the passengers know it's more affordable to be driven then to drive. Thank you for your time to read this. If you have any questions I would do my best to answer the best of my ability. Miguel Salas
