The "Sharing" Economy: Issues Facing Platforms, Participants, and Regulators A Federal Trade Commission Workshop
I am married, with 2 kids. June 2014, my wife, my daughter and I moved to Miami from Boston, in order to see if we could make some changes, leaving me family, a great job and everything behind. We love it here but, both my wife and I have not been able to find a decent job which allow us to pay our bills and other expenses. July of 2014, I was introduced to this great company-Uber. The amazing thing about Uber is the flexibility that I have to work whenever I want to, thus allowing me to spend valuable time with my daughter and my wife. Riders love it and I am constantly being told that Uber is revolutionizing the Transportation Industry because it feels more personable and the people/riders also have the freedom of choice. A lot of these Riders are coming from many places where they are getting great Transportation services through Uber and they expect the same when they come to Florida and as Florida residents, we should be able to provide them with these services. After all, aren't we here to serve and please the Visitors of Miami/Florida? Please keep Uber alive for the Riders, the Partners and the People!"
