"We use Uber everywhere - from Tampa to San Fran to Paris and many, many more places. We use Uber because it is intuitive, interactive, reliable, affordable and SAFER and CLEANER than taxis everywhere in the U.S. Paris has very clean taxis and are much better than any in the U.S. but Uber is at least as good here - and we've been in Paris for over a month now. [REDACTED] It's a new world where our transportation has to be more efficient and more personal. Finally, the current requirements to be a taxi drive sound 'reasonable' but if each member of Congress and the Executive Branch committed to take either a taxi or Uber to work - each for a week - I am certain that a polling of those participating would overwhelmingly show Uber to be superior. When I use Uber I know the car make, model, license and driver's first name and Uber mobile number. They are quickly traceable and useable; how often is a taxi company responsive? Reasonable background, safety and insurance requirements make sense - but not those constructed or contrived to dissuade this essential competition for public transportation. Thank you.
