If it weren't for Airbnb, I would have lost my home and been forced to depend upon $600/mo from my ex-husband in order to care for our 2 small children. Airbnb is an awesome vacation option for guests but, it was a life changing option for me. The service allows middle-class families the option to travel while contributing to the local economy that they are traveling to. Many families would never be able to travel because they could not afford the cost of traditional accommodations. The Airbnb company protects the host AND the guests by performing background checks on each party involved. Airbnb insures the property for up to $1million in case an accident occurs during a guests stay. Airbnb doesn't compete with traditional travel accommodations. It's providing a low cost option for people to travel who couldn't afford to otherwise. With sincerest thanks, Kimberly Rodriquez Super Host-Airbnb Nashville, Tennessee
