I am grateful for airbnb.com because I do not trust Craigslist entirely to screen out the untrustworthy rentors. I have found only high reliable roommates with Airbnb. They cone with references in their Reviews as do I. I am a single woman and live alone in a home that I own and rent out 2 rooms occasionally when I need extra income. [REDACTED] I needed to rentvout my spare rooms and having had very sketchy applicants from Craigslist, I usually rent rooms through word of mouth or from people I know. Airbnb has had excellent reviews. When a guest requests a room in my house through the site, I accept only those that have several positive reviews and I've never been disappointed. This is not the case with Craigslist and very difficult to even get any references that I can trust. I have had applicants from Craigslist that were just out of prison or rehab or very low on funds and couldn't even pay the rent. Many times I have been disappointed and several times actually had to call the police. This has never been the case with any of the airbnb.com guests. They are high quality guests and I feel I offer them a safe place to stay preferably for an extended time if possible, as it takes awhile to get to know someone and their habits. I'm a single woman living alone and I'm very picky about who I want to rent my rooms to so I'd rather have them be empty than live with someone who's a complete stranger. wlWith air BandB I don't really feel like they're a complete stranger!
