My wife and I are new to AirBNB. We have actually only hosted twice so far, and are still trying to decide if it is for us. The first to sets of guest have been great and we enjoyed their visits. The extra income generated will be going directly into the restoration of our 92-year old hisotoric home. We are bought this 92 year old house in Eagle Rock, a neighborhood of Los Angeles just over 3 years ago. During that time we have started restoration and have had it registered as an historic cultutral monument in Los Angeles, as it adds historic and architectural value to the local neighborhood. We are happy to share our home now and then to travelers, and in doing so, we hope that our guests enjoy their stay and know that their travel money directly pays for reparis and upkeep. We are not a business. We are simply local people who wish to offer travellers a very unique waypoint or destination on their travels. Please allow travellers the abilitiy to choose between large chains and local people. David & Myanna Dellinger
