The "Sharing" Economy: Issues Facing Platforms, Participants, and Regulators A Federal Trade Commission Workshop
I'm a widow, living on social security and I love everything about airbnb. It helps pay my mortgage and I meet some wonderfully interested people. I've never felt at risk, mostly because I figure that people who are willing to take the risk of being in a strangers home are the kind of people who are basically honest and friendly. So far that's held true. I have had young single people in town for weddings and middle age to older folks visiting to see kids and grandkids. Some people fall in love with the area and decide to move to town, but across the board, people are thoughtful and wonderful to have around. Human connections make life interesting and positive.
