To Whom it May Concern, I run a small business and rent an apartment in Brooklyn, NY. I have lived and worked in NYC for 10 years and settled in this apartment 5 years ago where I have helped grow a community of friends and family around me. As you probably know rents are ever increasing in NYC and this year my landlord raised the rent by $400.00. In doing so this caused my roommate and best friend to relocate and I am unable to find another roommate that it willing to pay the portion of the rent increase that also allows me to continue to live here. AirBnb makes it possible for me to find guests that will pay the price that I am asking and therefor making it possible for me to continue living here. Please take this into consideration that AirBnb is good for home owners and renters. In places like NYC, and the ever increasing housing market here, it allows people who have set roots down to continue living where they are. Best wishes, Brett Van Deusen
