I have been part of the AirBB community for just about a year now. This has provided me and my family with the extra income needed to stay in our home. We are in Silicon Valley and it is very pricey to live here. We stay because of our elderly parents and work. Since my wife became disabled in 2011, I needed to take a second job, but with the income from AirBB I am able to be home more and take care of my family. My eldest child uses a wheelchair and when she is away at college we are also able to use her room to accommodate guests with disabilities. It is a win win for all. In America the wealth disparity is astounding. With the "Sharing Economy" whether ride sharing, home sharing,or meal sharing it allows people to access needed necessities. We do not want a world of the have and have nots. It is a way to bring people together and provide a sense of community. Something that is poorly lacking in todays digital age.
