Residential neighborhoods are being overrun by commercial rentals of homes as motels and hotels. Though this is illegal and flys in the face of zoning laws and their intent, governments like Santa Barbara's have closed their eyes because it means tax revenue to fuel their ever growing hunger for money. They are aiding and abetting law breaking for money and that makes them prostitutes! These short term rentals have caused thousands of long term renters and their families to be evicted to make way for higher paying short term renters. The worst effect is that this takes much needed housing off the market and forces workers, the elderly and the retired on fixed incomesto move and commute. Here in the Santa Barbara area, there are over 1,500 residentially zoned rentals available for one night or less. This has to have a silver stake put through its heart! We need some expensive funerals in Santa Barbara!
