Thanks to airbnb, my partner and I were able to keep our home! We had hit significant difficult financial times and my partner decided to switch careers and go back to school to secure more stable income. Fortunately, a local family member took a job overseas for several years and we were/are able to housesit indefinitely at their nearby home. We immediately looked to airbnb as a rental source for our house. We've had and continue to have a fantastic experience with airbnb. We take great deal of time, consideration and care when selecting our short-term guests in order to find appropriate parties that will respect our beautiful home, and more importantly, appreciate and respect our immediate neighbors and community. Our airbnb guest response has been hugely rewarding, and we've really enjoyed our hosting responsibilities. We particularly like seeking out and securing all the special amenities that make our home such a comfortable and relaxing trip destination. Due to the severe financial restraints, we never had enough funds to go out and spend money in our vibrant community, so our short-term rental stint has been great for the local economy. Our welcome packet points out all the local shops and restaurants and has been widely utilized and welcomed by our guests. In addition, airbnb has allowed us to fund significant home improvement upgrades to our home in order to make it a very special and safe place to stay. Beyond funding our personal career change, home improvment, and bringing more stimulus to the local economy, airbnb has allowed us to work on paying down our personal debt and freed up our available funds for travel and pleasure. Thank you airbnb!
