We have been active in Airbnb for three years. We have hosted a variety of people. Many have come to attend class reunions, college interviews for child and parent, relocation hunts for housing, family celebrations etc.. over the years we have enjoyed all these encounters and our guests have too as evidenced in their reviews. There usually is a fair exchange of information where to dine, sightseeing, who to get in touch with regarding local services, etc..In addition to the bed we offer a full breakfast and an evening beverage at no extra cost. In so many cases our affordable hosting has made many of our guests trips possible. We recently did a family stay in Washington stay to celebrate two notable birthdays. The celebration was in an outstanding home, by the shore, with a fantastic view, hot tub, in an exquisitely decorated, spacious home in a gated community that was able to accommodate seven of us for $250 for the one night. The price made our stay possible; without it any commercial location would have required several rooms each costing multiples of $250 and would not have come close to the experience we accounted in this private home. Thank you Airbnb for your service in bringing this home to our attention. Lastly, we have long wanted to visit Glacier National Park but have not been able to do so with all the expenses involved in getting there, car rental, and housing. Finally, after years of trying to work it out, we are going in August because of an Airbnb location we found in Columbia Falls, MT. We will be 3 couples sharing the expenses. We are thrilled to get to Glacier.
