I have been using AirBnB for a year and love the opportunities it has provided. I own a home in Boulder Colorado, which is a difficult thing to do. In the past years my revenue streams have been challenged by the economy and a rapidly shifting business. Photography. Without the opportunity to rent out rooms in the manor that AirBnB allows, I would have lost my home. It also allows me to travel on jobs and stay in places which I would otherwise not be able to find. Hotels are too expensive and not located in the proper places. I feel that this "sharing" economy is awesome and as long as it's done properly, it could change the future of how people do business. AirBnB does an amazing job in helping its users navigate the safety, legality, and value of using the systems. While there are inherent risks, issues to consider about taxing, etc. it is far outweighed by the benefits. I hope our country supports the further development of companies such as AirBnB, Lyft, Uber, etc.
