There are so many ways the "sharing economy" is working for us: 1) Financial support during a climate of middle-class decline; 2) Financial support that enables us to improve personal and community property and environment; 3)Building trust relationships with many different peoples from national and international backgrounds by creating opportunities for personal connections and interactions. We've hosted people from China, Taiwan, Peru, Germany--as well as people from different "nations" in the USA--always with a feeling of gratitude, expressed by both our guests and by us. Additionally, Airbnb sends newsletters that offer advice to help hosts get a grasp of and highly value cross-cultural connections. As we learn and experience the values of hospitality, we are taking important steps toward creating a world in which we may (just possibly)learn to live in peace.
