I have been on both sides of the airbnb equation as a host and a guest. Both experience have been of significant benefit in helping to make ends meet by both saving money on expensive family hotels stays requiring more then one room, and earning income. Since 2007 I have had to use creative means to supplement my income as a self employed health professional and singe mother of 2. Renting out my townhouse to airbnb customers has helped me to generate income that helps me stay on top of my bills and support my family. I have had nothing but positive experiences with the guest who have rented my home, which have typically been medical students looking for short term housing during brief internships or study programs. I have been able to fulfill a need for them and in turn they have assisted me. I am grateful to have airbnb as a resource.
