As a Real Estate Broker and a Manager of Short Term Rentals via AirBnB I want to bring a perspective that I believe is very important to take a look at. I have been told and do believe that I bring a feeling of Home to the Clients I rent to. A Short Term Rental allows the Renter to make a home away from home. This is a very special and endearing feeling for the Displaced "New Orliean". being able to rent a home and be able to feel at home is a sort after feeling for many returning to New Orleans even if for a short time. AirBnB gives so many that warm and fuzzy feeling. To come home and have a place to call home for even that shortest length of time... Picture a Family that does not have a Home Base in New Orleans any more because of their home loss following Hurricane Katina. I know the importance of this home base because I am the home base for many of my personal family who could not afford to come back to New Orleans as Renters or lost everything they had in New Orleans as Home Owners after Hurricane Katrina. To be able to come back for Holidays, Festivals, Graduations, Mardi Gras or the true Home Coming, a Funeral is a Personal Fulfillment. A Home Base is so important and Sort Term Rentals fulfills this Home Base Need.
