I am recently single and started using Airbnb as a way to make ends meet. Because I work from home, a full-time renter is not a solution. Plus, the potential with Airbnb is that I could make more money than with a full-time renter. I don't see why the federal government needs to be involved in this legal activity. I can see how local jurisdictions may want to regulate this type of vacation home business, but not the feds. Airbnb issues a 1099 at the end of the year, so all taxes will be paid on the income. Thank you for your time.
